The Sharing Hands Food Bank provides nutritious food to over 300 Linn County families (that's over 800 individuals) every month. No matter your circumstances, you can count on being treated with respect every time you visit. Our staff is committed to making you feel welcome and valued.
We don't ask for your ID or for proof of income or citizenship. All we need is your name, zip code, and the number of people in your household. And this information is kept confidential.

Who can shop at the Food Bank?
Oregon food banks are intended for families that fall below certain income levels. This table shows how much money you can make in a month and still qualify for food bank services and Oregon Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

What kinds of foods do you provide?
Though our stock varies from week to week, we always offer nutritional food choices for you and your family. In addition to shelf stable (canned and boxed) items, our large-capacity freezers and refrigerators allow us to offer meats and dairy products. Fresh produce is also suppied as are certain non-food items, depending on what is available during a given week.
Can I choose which foods I want?
Yes. A volunteer will get you the meats and dairy products you want from the freezer / refrigerator. After that, you can pick out the items you want, just like you would at a regular grocery store. Volunteer staff can help you find what you need and explain our current limits on individual and total items.
Is there a long wait to get in?
Although we limit the number of shoppers in the store to two at a time, wait times are normally no longer than a few minutes. We have chairs available for those waiting in line.
How often can I shop at the Food Bank?
You can shop here every two weeks. Try to keep your visits at least 14 days apart.
What if I can't go to the Food Bank myself?
If you can’t come here yourself—due to work, health concerns, transportation, or another reason—you can name a trusted person as an Authorized Representative to shop for you. Print and fill out this Authorized Representative form and have your representative bring it with him or her. (If you don't have a printer, we can give you a form to fill out when you arrive.)
Can I donate food to the Food Bank?
Yes, donations are welcome! Make sure your donations are not past their expiration date, not opened, and do not have defective packaging, If you have fresh produce to donate, make sure it is clean and undamaged.
